1- I am the fifth (in terms of takeoffs and landings) busiest airport in the U.S. and the hub for two carriers. I have three terminals buildings-T2, T3 and T4 and because temperatures can soar to 120 in the summer, cargo and sometimes pax have to be off-loaded for airplanes to get off the ground.
PHX - Phoenix Airport
2- I began as McCoy Air Force Base, now I'm named after a city in the Sunshine state. My old code was ORL.
MCO - Orlando International Airport
3- Though the code DCA hasn't changed, the name of the airport has, what is it called now?
Ronald Regan International
4- My old code was SAC, what's my new code?
SMF - Sacramento, CA
5- Originally I was known as Candler Field, but I've gone through a few names changes since then. I'm very busy and some say (actually only one person said this, but he was very very insistent) that I was built on old Coke bottle caps.
I am not sure on this but I have to go with ATL - Atlanta home of Coke-a-Cola.
6- I was built to replace another; I'm twice the size of Manhattan and bigger than the entire city of Boston or San Francisco. I have 5 runways all over 2 1/2 miles long.
HINT-I'm not DFW.
Bet it is another airport starting with a D....DEN - Denver, CO
7- At one time I was known as Orchard Field, but my name was changed in 1949 to honor a WWII fighter pilot. I once was the world's busiest airport but now another holds that title.
My favorite ORD - Chicago O'Hare.
8- I was once called Idewild Airport, now I have a new name.
Hint- my code is not NNY
JFK - John F Kennedy airport NYC
9- I was originally built in the 1920's and used mainly by airmail contractors. I was renamed in 1949 to honor a battle and NOT as many think, a geographic position.
MDW - Midway Randy's home turf
10- When flying out of Washington D.C., what airfield is used by the president?
Andrews AFB is the primary, but IAD - Washington Dullas is the alternate.
Bonus
My airline code is HP; my call sign is Cactus, what's my name.
America West
I would ask for some hard questions, but I will be out of town the next 2 weeks.
