    Aviation quiz 14 (general knowledge) Because I don't want a repeat of Aviation Quiz 13, (not one guess in seven months ) this quiz will be multiple choice; meaning, you have a chance of getting the correct answer just by closing your eyes and pointing. (Please note only posted answers will be given credit)
    So lets have some fun, and remember don't Google

    Disclaimer--No one was hurt during the writing of this quiz, although one person got very upset.
    As previously stated, a detailed explanation of scoring is available by sending Mrs Field's chocolate chip cookies (with walnuts) to me at LAX. Inquiries will be answered within 6 to 8 weeks and are not valid in California, Iceland and certain Canadain provinces.

    1. Identify the airline
    <UL TYPE=SQUARE>
    A---PSA
    B---Southwest
    C---Hughes Air West
    D---Frontier[/list]

    Well, that's easy. But I'll give someone else a chance.

    I'd have to say Southwest.

    Between Randy's reply and the fact that I'm reading the book, "Nuts," and I think I've seen it in there.

    Er, William Boeing was a lumber merchant before he started building airplanes.

    Well, as it's name would suggest the answer is 'A'.

    On a related note my mother-in-law was a sky goddess for Philippine in the 50's. She flew on a DC-3 her entire career. When she got married she transferred to the ticket counter. She was first based in Manilla, then Rome and finally Honolulu where she went to the ticket counter. Before she was 30 she had been around the world several times visiting all the exotic and glamorous cities of the world.

    Yea, F/As in the 50's had to be young and single. The rules certainly have changed since then, on a recent flight a F/A showed me photos of her grandkids.

    BTW, are you sure you want to go with "A"?
    Anybody else have a guess?
