    Hello to all--

Having worked at an airline (HP), I couldn't imagine flying simply for the purpose of flying...didn't seem to interest me at all. Now that I'm outside of the industry, without flight benefits, I've found some people who fly simply to fly--to keep status, etc.

What do you think when you see them? At check-in, at the gate, on board (especially if you just saw them on the prior flight).

The reason I'm asking is that I'm doing a mileage run next weekend...too close to Gold status on US and this will push me over. I plan to keep a low profile, but the employees can usually figure you out.

I'll be going through JFK, LAS, PHX, and SEA if anyone has any hints for things in those airports.

I am sure the agents will understand your itinerary. As a non-rev, I have traveled RIC-ATL-ZRH-CVG-RIC. The only time I spent time on Swiss soil was for about 15 minutes when I went on a walk outside the airport terminal. Then I checked back in and went home. I am sure the agents have seen crazier stuff!

I do non-rev turn-arounds all the time HNL-KIX or HNL-NRT. Sometimes I just notice that First is wide open so I fly out, do a few hours of sight-seeing or shopping then come right back home. Did it twice in January.
