I know you are hoping to hear from the bigger carriers, but I know Midwest did away with the Delta global fare towards the end of 2008 and went to ZEDs. Maybe FL did the same? I was able to get to Japan (NRT) out of ATL for about $100 and back through DFW on AA for about the same. $200 RT sure as heck beats the global fare deal...
