Default Leaving Air Tran, SouthWest, Jetblue or Spirit to Work For A European Carrier

Hello everyone.....let me ask you this? I have a friend of mine who is working for a Low Cost Carrier and has the opportunity to work for Aer Lingus as a Purser. The question is should he leave the LCC to go work for Aer Lingus, who was actually sub contracted out by United Airlines to fly IAD to MAD. They will be US based, and making 24K....give me your feedback on the pros and cons....the only other European Carrier that is doing this is Open Skies, which is under British Airways, they fly JFK-CDG....would anyone else take this risk? Why and Why not? Thanks.....
