    Attachment 377

    a---Gibraltar
    b---Saint Maarten
    c---Netherland Antilles

    Answer: A

    7. The Beatles song “Back in the USSR” opens with the sound of an airplane.
Name the aircraft. And no it’s not impossible, here's a link to the song YouTube - The beatles - Back in the USSR - just listen to those engines (that whining sound it’s a dead giveaway *wink*) You have a 1 out of 3 chance!
    a---Boeing 707
    b---Vickers Viscount
    c---Tupolev TU-124

Answer: B - Ok I‘ll admit this was a tricky one. But I did give you a clue in your options,
an American Boeing 707, an English Vickers Viscount and a Russian Tupolev TU-124.
The Beatles are an English music group, soooo……..it’s the Viscount.
Ok, it‘s a rather cryptic clue, but Nazlhr#1 our 10 year old contestant managed to get it right. He was the only one.

    8. An easy one- ZED is an acronym for
    A---Zonal Employee Deduction
    B---Zonal Employee Discount
    C---Zonal Employee (travel) Discount

Anwser: B & C - Like tomato, tomaato- not much of a difference. Some people include the word “travel” some don’t. In the end it’s still ZED

    9. Originally I was known as Candler Field, but I've gone through a few names changes since then. I'm very busy and some say (actually only one person I know said this, but he was very very insistent) that I was built on old Coke bottle caps. Name the airport.
No additional hints, reread the question for a clue.

Answer: Atlanta - The clue was in the question - “Some say I (airport) was built on old Coke bottle caps”. Atlanta is the birthplace of Coca-Cola……. talk about a great clue.

    10. The following passage is describing what event?

    b---Charles Lindbergh landing in France.
c---Chuck Yeager landing after breaking the sound barrier.
c---The Beatles in 1964 arriving at JFK.
Be careful now, this one is tricky.

Answer: B, Charles Lindbergh landing in France. - On this one you really only had two viable options, Lindbergh and the Beatles. Now Nick and Nazlhr#2, do you really think the Beatles arrived at JFK, in the middle of the night?

    Scores
    Nick - 7
    Skymanbc -7
    Spongebue - 7
(Test Pilot)-- You're adventurous, energetic and thrive under pressure.
You enjoy leaving things to the last minute and will work on some small, tiny, part of a problem for months, then finish the entire project in a 48 hour marathon. You love to travel and like the "adventure" of nonrevving, however you do have a rather strange fascination with gas stations, which is why even after returning from the most exotic locale, you know the price of gas

    29 Palms - 6
    Bgeller - 6
(Aviator)--- You’re energetic and love to travel….ah the choices. By air, land or sea you always “ready to roll”.
You really love airplanes, the hustle and bustle of airports and can sleep on a rock.
You're airline knowledgeable and are punctual to a fault.
In fact if it wasn’t your need to carry every charger and cable to all your electronic gadgets in your carry-on, (triggering the secondary screening-- every-- single-- time you travel) you’d be the perfect travel companion.

    Nazlhr#2 - 5
(Wing walker)--- You're a little crazy and somewhat unpredictable, no doubt a result of your many years of power breathing jet fumes and/or being dropped one to many times on your head. You love traveling to exotic places and are a sharp and tenacious bargainer. You have a discerning eye and are quick to notice small flaws; which is a fine trait when bargaining for tapestries in Peru, but a major liability when your spouse is asking how they look.

Nazlhr#1 - 4 correct and winner of the “wow, I’m impressed award“.
(Barnstormer)--- You're observant and a good listener and have picked up lots of aviation knowledge just by watching TV aviation programs. You have an inquiring mind and always have to ask the big “why” questions. You have a head for business and saw immediately the profit in being nearby during secondary security checks. You love to non-rev and can sleep through anything - movies, crying babies, sunlight streaming through your neighbor’s window nothing bothers you. At Christmas you're known for your generous gift baskets of water bottles, shampoo and large tubes of toothpaste

Congratulations to our three winners, Nick, Skymanbc and Spongebue.
The new Aviation Quiz virtual Trophy will be delivered by PM in a quiet and dignified (as befits) virtual ceremony. And yes there are three trophies, no virtual money was spared.

    Hope you had fun.
