This happened to a friend recently interviewing at a major. The HR rep asked him about the current price of company stock, and he rattled off the share price. He was pretty confident in his knowledge of the company, but totally fell flat when she asked him if that was a good or bad thing.
Why the HR folks grill an interviewee like that is beyond me, but I found a way to handle that and perhaps have an idea who might still be in business and not do furloughs in the near future. Gotta look at it like the top company officers and think of company financial health. I found a link to a table of "valuations" that shows whether an airline is in the red or not.

Of course, why interview if the stock is not worth anything and the company is in big debt. Interesting to look at, though.
