I am aware of USO clubs for active military. I haven't been active military in 30 years. It is only for active military and their families. The airport USO is just like a lounge to hang out while waiting for your flight, doubt USO's in airports even serve liquor. I may talk military at times, may be proud of my honorable service, but by golly, I don't want to go back to it.

I just read the article on your link. Notice they serve food and drink in the USO there at O'hare. No mention on alchohol. No booze, me no go in there even if I could. Ooohraaa!
The ORD USO cyber canteen is part of the AA non-rev lounge. There is a dedicated USO section but the space is open to the general lounge. Found this link USO American Airlines Cyber Canteen Center at O’Hare « USO of Illinois Official Website which shows a few photos of the canteen side; we both use that front desk and the photos where you see the kids toys and videos that’s on the non-rev side.
You’re right no alcohol in the lounge, no In-N-Out burgers either (don‘t sell those in Chicago) which is why the conversation drifted to the world’s best burger- In-N-Out..

Everyday. Every day man. If such a great hamburger joint as you say, why then are they only in 5 states? Nevada, California, Texas, Utah and Arizona? (None in IAH). But I have yet to try the burger so I won't bash it. I doubt seriously it ranks above even Mickie Dees burgers. From my intelligence gathering mechanisms, it does seem more that the Migflanker, ranks the in and out burger tops. What does everyone else rank the joint like? Sorry. Five guys. Nationwide, Obama even ate a burger there and loves the place, rated top hamburger and best value by many a journals. Five guys hamburger flipper flunkies end up working for IN-N-OUT cuz that's the way it is.

I love In & Out Burger! It was the one thing I told my wife I wanted to do last time we went to SFO. We stopped on the way up to Napa and it was as good as I remembered it. Not saying Five Guys isn't good, I eat at the one up the street whenever I am looking for a decent burger, but In & Out is better.

Time magazine doesn't lie. Read this link. And you can't compare the cajun fries, or the real potato fries against 5 guys. In and out burger, fast food JUNK! Five guys, the real Mcoy!

Ok, ok....you wanna talk best hamburgers? For me? I doubt there are any anymore. Look up LITTLE TAVERN HAMBURGERS. They were a Maryland chain of hamburger joints in the 60's and 70's, I believe there might be only ONE LEFT in the DCA area. They were sliders. Like the famous White Castle but only better. Much better. Thick little hamburgers with cheese and pickle. Nothing in the world has tasted like that since.

In N Out blows away every burger I've ever had, but 5 Guys is a good second. I ate them so much when I worked in DCA, they called me to ask why I'd stopped coming lol!

Way to go Jbear & Tony. Jbear I know all about craving an In-N-Out burger.
And trust me, a lot of other people do too. That In-N-Out near LAX is the one of the first or last places a lot travelers stop. It’s not unusual to see cabs going through the drive thru with pax on their way to the airport.

Palms, In-N-Out is a family owned chain. They don’t franchise - great quality control.
They only use fresh ingredients- nothing is ever frozen, ingredients delivered every day and the lettuce comes in a leaf not shredded to pieces.
Add to that a straight forward menu - burger, fries and a drink; no chicken nuggets, no salads, no hot dogs and no peanuts.
In-N-Out does burgers, that’s all they do and they do them extremely well. That’s why they’re #1!
In fact, In-N-Out is what a hamburger is all about.

One of the reasons In-N-Out isn't too scattered around the country is they want a distribution plant close to their stores, to keep their inventory fresh. DFW didn't get the In-N-Outs until the plant was completed here.
