As for the original topic, I've had some fun days myself. I remember the time the ATL gate agent accidently sent out a CRJ w/ 8 open seats and I got to sit there for an extra 10 hours. Also spending the night in DL's LGA terminal and CVG Concourse A. A few other trips have been interesting as well.

As for the FAs taking care of our servicemembers, I can never see enough of this. It really doesn't take much to say thanks and help these men and women out in some way. 2 somewhat recent instances that really irked me were the GoJets FA out of IAD that refused to let me buy a soldier a beer, because it was her last flight of the day and she'd already completed her liquor sales report; and the ASA FA w/ 10 of 12 seats open in F who refused to upgade the 3 troops we had onboard, and then only upgraded one when I moved to the back to make room.

Of course more often than not I see crews kindly offering a comped beverage, extra snack, exit row or F upgrade without anybody asking. It's really nice to see that
