Default Picked up a crawfish kit

Picked up a crawfish boil kit at Sams club the other day. Layed out all the contents, ( Shrimp, crawfish, sausage, corn on the cob, vegetables, potatoes and mustard seeds.) mixed it with beer and water, seasoning that came with the kit, heated it up in the oven for 50 minutes. (It came with its own tray which I kept for future use.) I even added some pineapple to it to sweeten it up a bit. I must admit, it was a treat. The kit ran me 30 bucks, but it was well worth it. It's gone down real good with New England pounding on Denver on the tv screen, but hope that they can hang along and not blow this lead.

NE game versus Denver was cool, but what's ticking me off right now is the Baltimore Pittsburgh game. Flacco is turning into FLUKE OH! Interception, and runner fumbled the ball, turnovers man. Turnovers. Just give the game away.

And RG3 I don't know why they keep giving him a pass. He needs to join GINO SMITH in New York. Politics. You want to lose games, put RG3 in as quarterback.

Definitely sounds like a southern thing - doubt you'll get that in Sam's Clubs out here! At first I thought you were talking about the hardware needed, though. I borrowed one of those outdoor boiler burner things from a friend of mine to do some homebrew, and he was saying I should have a crawfish boil. As a northerner, I'm not even sure how to eat the silly things! I'd probably like it, though.

Picked up a crawfish kit-0002473227276_a-jpgI never cared for craw fish and all that but living in the Gulf now for past 15 beans, I've adapted to eating cajun style. In fact, to the point of liking Louisiana cooking better than the North East style of seafood. They kick it up with hot spices. Though I give my Maryland Crabs high props with their Old Bay and other recipe seasonings. Ever try BLACKENED TILAPIA? Smothered with craw fish creamy sauce? Forget about it. I don't call is SOUTHERN EATING. I call it CAJUN eating. Southern eating is fried okra with fried chicken and gotta have GRITS. I don't see GRITS served here in Texas. Texas is Texas, and southern or the SOUTH per say is Georgia, South and North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas. LOUISIANA is LOUISIANA a country of its own and so is TEXAS. Completely different.
