True, but crowds of tourists carrying umbrellas does obstruct one’s view. Besides as a southern Californian I don’t get a lot of “umbrella practice” I mean the strategic timing needed to close one’s umbrella early enough to avoid bad luck, but late enough not to get wet in the rain, is rather tricky.
