Aviation Maintenance Technician Day.
May 24 is a day “to honor the professional men and women who ensure the safety and security of our airborne aviation infrastructure, and recognize the life and memory of Charles E. Taylor, the aviation maintenance technician who built and maintained the engine that was used to power the Wright brothers first controlled flying machine on December 17, 1903.” —US House of Representatives – April 30, 2008
The Wright Brothers made a glider, Charles Taylor made the glider an airplane. BTW, Charles Taylor was the first non-rev. *wink*
Thanks to those in the shadow of the hanger that keep our skies safe!
