Went to Japan for sushi, SLC-PDX-NRT, HND-SFO-SLC, was on the ground for approx. 8 hours, total trip time was about 36 hours.
I do not think they have the midnight flight out of HND to make this possible any more.

Eight hours on the ground - you my friend are a true sushi lover, and as such, I have a question. Assuming Japanese cuisine sushi rolls and sushi rolls in other parts of the world (LA for example) might be "somewhat" different, I would like to ask - What 's with all the unusual names for sushi rolls?????
Some of my favorites: Crazy Monkey Roll - Titanic Roll- Dynamite Roll *spicy* and the always popular, California Dream Roll. Are the names just made up in each restaurant/locale? What's the deal with the names? *laughing*
