Quake centered in the Mojave Desert area, a few rattled nerves but everybody A-OK. Going over to see the fireworks tonight.

    Update
The second LA area quake (July 5) was stronger (7.1) everyone well. On a side note, maybe 20/30 seconds before the quake, my neighbor's dog started running around and barking (something that old chill dog never does). Did the dog predict the quake I don't know - just list it under strange but true.

I was there for Whitter (believe 88') San Francisco and Northridge. Northridge was the most damaging I can remember with I-10 collapse and 118. I was in Mid City at the time and the detour was crazy. at least the majority of this one is in East Kern.

A dogs sense is 5x stronger than man. Yes they can hear and feel it before.

The Northridge quake I remember it well, 4:30am woke us up - the only time the entire neighborhood came out. One funny thing I remember is the number of people that had no idea how to open their garage door manually.
