As non-revs we deal with a unique set of travel “variables”, so instead of total miles flown or longest/shortest flight of the past year. I thought why not list uniquely non-rev stats.
So, think back over the last year and share some of you own interesting statistics
Gate Check Carry-On Bag 60% (100% on flights out of TUS)
Running 70%
….between terminals/gates
….because of non-working walkways and trains
….to make my plan B/C
….to make a shuttle
….across the tarmac because it’s LGB, it’s raining and I don’t have an umbrella *wink*
….because my home airport is LAX which is undergoing improvements which often resulted in traffic jams on Century which forced me to get out of my Lyft ride and hustle the last ¼ mile.
Non-Rev Rule 2B- Always dress to run.
Swimming upstream to get my bag that was stuffed in an overhead 10+ rows behind me so I could make my connection. 25%
Carry-on in an overhead within four rows of my seat. 20%
Trips requiring a non-fight option because some flights go from green to red faster than a wildcat going for a loose football. Donna nods acknowledging the reference). 33%
Time in air – Never enough
Note: Guessing does surprisingly well when determining percentages
