Frontier Airlines officials announced Friday that they have pulled flights off of popular travel site Expedia.com.
The Denver-based airline has spent the past year trying to push customers to buy tickets from the company’s website rather than other major online booking engines.
The move comes after the Denver-based airline and Expedia “were unable to reach agreement to continue offering Frontier schedules and fares on the online travel agency’s website,” according to a Frontier news release.
Frontier corporate communications manager Kate O’Malley said she did not have specific details on the areas of disagreement.
Frontier will have one less place to advertise its flights to travelers who do not have specific loyalty to one airline — a move that certainly could cost DEN third-largest carrier some customers.

But airline officials also said they will be able to save about $25 in distribution costs for every flight that is booked through FlyFrontier.com rather than through Expedia — savings that can help them lower fares
