Thread: Jet Blue Adds JFK-POS and FLL-POS in Early 2014

Aaaahhh just as my airline was shedding agreements left and right (think e-zeds and myidtravel) comes the blue knight to the rescue. Gives me another option for getting down to the Caribbean. To our North American travellers, anyone can say if Jet Blue is a popular non-rev carrier?

More like annihilated. All the Caribbean flying left out of JFK are to SJU, BGI & PAP on a daily basis and STT, SXM, ANU & UVF on a less than daily or seasonal basis. Gone are SDQ, PUJ, AUA (used to be served by a 747 back in the 70s and a route AA served for ~40 years), PLS and others. I remember taking AA DC-10s and A300s to the Caribbean on many family vacations back in my pre-nonrev days.

Update: The POS routes have changed to 2/24/14 for JFK and 5/1/14 for FLL

Definitely!!

Can anyone comment on the reliability of the Jetblue seat map in determining loads. According to their website, they don't overbook their flights and what you see is what is available for advance seat reservation or assignment at the airport on date of travel. Ergo just before departure seats showing as available means open seats. Then just do the math. Am I being simplistic here? Long story, short, I'm on a crazy mission to get down to POS end of Feb to return on the 5th or 6th of Mar, smack in the carnival traffic!
