AA has been tentatively awarded rights to LAX-GRU by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). The route, set to begin Fall 2014, is the first between the two metros. In a statement, AA said it had also hoped to have been granted rights to ORD-GRU. This comes 2 days after US Airways gains approval of CLT-GRU and DL proposing a additonal ATL-GRU flight.
