I would like to take my husband and a group of friends for Murder Mystery Weekend. There will be some non-revs and some that are not. Does anyone have any suggestions. We all live in the DFW area.
Thanks!
Amy

Have you considered a mystery weekend cruise. Our local travel writer wrote about one that I think Carnival gave. She loved the experience.
Doing an internet search, it looks like many of the river boat operations have mystery dinner cruises. Savanna, Ga and many parts of California and the Hudson river are just a few listed.
I also remember the Delta Queen line had them some years back.
If you do not like boats, bed and breakfasts are also good spots to check out.
I will keep my eye out for any more info or deals.
Check out the following link www.stonelioninn.com/ then click "Murder Mysteries". I've never been and don't know anyone who has but it was reported on extensively several years ago with good results. It's in Guthrie (the first capital) which is less than an hour's drive north of OKC.
Check out the following link for some other info I ran across: <a href="http://directory.google.com/Top/Recreation/Travel/Specialty_Travel/Mystery/" target="_blank">http://directory.google.com/Top/Recreation...Travel/Mystery/</A>

What is a murder mystery weekend? I've never heard of one, but it sounds very cool indeed..hehe
Hi Paul
Imagine your enjoying a nice dinner out. You've finished your meal and are just about to take a second bite of your pecan pie when the guy in the next booth falls face first into his spinach dip; and just that fast you find yourself in the middle of a 'whodunit'.
Murder mystery dinners, weekends, etc. are audience participation theater. There is a script and actors but since guests and actors aren't identified you could be taking to a guest, the next victim or the murderer. There is usually a host to move things along and of course a detective who arrives on the scene to lead the investigation. There are plenty of witnesses, evidence and suspects. Usually at the end the guests are asked to solve the crime. Then, in a scene right out of the movies, the murderer is unmasked. Lucky you skipped the appetizer. I just ran across this link in Arthur Frommers for haunted hotel stays for the upcoming Halloween holiday.
