Has anyone been on one of the Delta Queen river cruises? I keep seeing great deals (some for less than $50/day) and wonder what the ships are actually like.

I call it brown water cruising vs blue water cruising. I own interlinerates.com and I personally have not been on the river cruises. But we do sell them.

I always make sure the interliner knows what they are booking. A River boat on a RIVER.. The food is ok and the rooms are small but the experience is pure southern hospitality.

"Brown water cruising", now there's a descriptive turn of a phrase. Actually the color I associate with water travel is green.
