ok--here's a challenge for all the great non-revers out there!

We have a big trip to plan for Bali this fall--a 2 weeker--BUT--our 3rd anniversary is in May. I can be so blonde some days, I didn't even realize he bid for vacation over our anniversary! DOH!! A surprisingly sentimental guy...

So, I want to find something special. We will just be back from the Amazon and a lot of scooting around Europe. Anywhere Delta flies--I have just a few transoceanic legs left until July.

What would you suggest?
I'm open for any idea--3-6 days...
Put on your traveling shoes (metaphorically, of course) and include details about great hotel deals/places/etc--
c'mon--I know you can do it!!

(that means I'm sinking fast--save me!!)

How about a romatic getaway at one of the Sandals Resorts in MBJ,NAS or UVF? Airline employee rate is $200 night per couple all inclusive. You can only confirm 2 weeks prior but if you choose Jamaicia they should be able to get you into one of their 7 resorts. Not as exotic as Bali but I highly recommend the "Rub and Dub Dub-2 in a Tub" couples massage at the Red Lane Spa!

St. John - Check out the very first article published to the Nonrev Network. It's been many years ago but I bet if you Google "Private Homes for Private Vacations" there still there.

I adore St. John!! Good reminder, Oh Great NonRev1.
I'll start looking, but I think seats may be an issue? I can dream of swimming at Hawks Nest beach--just the 2 of us!! Little villa, carry-on full of frozen steaks...that's the way to do it! I'll ck the posting--thanks!!

Here you go.

I'm going to approach this from another angle. Do you and your "prince charming" have a shared hobby/activity, favorite sports team, favorite entertainer, favorite food.....*you get the idea*? What about letting that determine the destination?
We did that once, ended up six row center at a concert in Hawaii. Who knows, you could end up dining in Hong Kong, or climbing El Capitan.

Surely you put one knee upon the floor in reverence as you typed out my royal title!

Now it has crossed my mind that the username of nonrev1 and having my photo in my profile all over the place might give folks the impression that I'm full of myself but now you're giving me a complex.

It's been so long ago (almost 10 years now) when I chose it, I don't quite remember my thinking. I use nonrev1 or nonrev01 on other sites because nonrev is often taken. I was the very first on this one so am a little proud of that and being the founder and all but of course it would be nothing without every one here contributing.

About the photo.... was just hoping to lead by example. There are many advantages to e-communication, however, one of the disadvantages is that it is not as personal as face-to-face or even audible communication. I would love everyone to use a photo of themselves just to put a real face with the name. That's how it's usually done on the big social networks like facebook and myspace.

But I've grossly digressed from the Anniversary Trip topic... sorry 'bout that. Perhaps I'll keep this in mind for a blog entry.

Oh that was bad.
In the words of that famous punster CSSup "...there was the person who sent ten diffferent puns to friends, with the hope that at least one of the puns would make them laugh. Unfortunately, no pun in ten did."

UPDATE!
Just in case anyone was dying from curiosity...

Looks like I might have a game plan:

Cincinnati to ATL to get to MAD on Delta
MAD to Marrakech non-stop (noon to noon) ID90 on Iberia
3 nights Marrakech @ unknown guest house/inn
(see Atlas Mtns and Marrakech city for 2 full days)
7am train Marrakech to Fez arrives 2pm
3 nights seeing Fez and surrounds
Fez to Paris Orly late afternoon on Royal Air Maroc ID95--arrives pm.
Bus from Orly to CDG
(found the schedule--it's every half hour for one hour+ trip for $25US/pax)
11:45 am to CVG--home late afternoon!

I know I can sub the first leg with CVG/CDG and take the bus for Orly as a back-up plan...

Anyone see better options? Happy to have suggestions in case I missed something?
Thanks for the eyes and ears!
