These are features you may look at and have a good estimate of where you might be. Say you dropped off from the sky or something in the middle of the night in a parachute, and suddenly you see these distinguishable features. In Managua, you may see MOMOTOMBO volcano, along with others, and you may see, or like San Salvador, Volcano de San Salvador. But some features obviously stick out more than others, like a slam dunk feature, like once you see it, you know its in this or that country. Example.....Niagra Falls.....slam dunk!!!
