    Default Warning: LuxuryLink

    The recent demise of LuxuryLink was a toal shock to many people, including myself. I just discovered the ugly truth. LuxuryLink has ceased to operate. Please do NOT attempt to buy anything, even though the website is still online. FB has much of the information.

    Even the President, Diane McDavitt did not reply to my email (I had her direct address) and I later found out she left her office 2 wks ago. I am sickened. I only have a small amount on account, as well as a $250 promo certificate that they awarded me (no cost to me). I may be able to recoup thru my CC but it's from Dec 2013, so hardly a chance.
    I did find out that the CEO, Scott Morrow, was already gone (not sure when).
    Sadly, they left so many people (mostly with resorts in Mexico) without refunds. Some were actually at resorts when the desk called them to come and pay what LL did not. These people already paid! Even those w/honeymoons. Despicable. The investors weren't getting the return they wanted (what I gather) and after getting $ from 15% off sale, they shut down. HORRIBLE. The let everyone go all at once and shut the doors. I can't even think how angry people are (including me).Some people say they rec'd refunds before the final closing, some got them thru credit cards.
    This is what was posted by someone:
    Dear Consumer:

    Effective immediately, Luxury Link LLC aka Luxury Link Travel Group has ceased all operations and entered into a General Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors (ABC), following which all of its assets will be sold. As a result, Luxury Link will not be able to honor the travel you have booked through it. We suggest you contact your credit card issuer for your options regarding any charges to your credit card. You may also want to contact the destination property directly to see what arrangement you can make with it. As Luxury Link is no longer operating, it will be unable to assist you in rearranging your travel plans or obtain a refund.

    You will be receiving further news regarding the ABC in the next few weeks. Until then, no further information will be available.

    I just called there offices, they‘re headquartered out here, their answering machine is full, you can’t leave a message. They’re gone and yet the Luxury Link website is up and promoting ‘this weeks steals’.
    Consumers left holding the bag …again.
