    Question Non-Rev UA SFO-MCO

    Hey guys,

I'm using iddeals.com to check loads on UA 292 SFO-MCO on the 05/22 and it supposedly shows 20 seats available. Is it any accurate?

    A couple questions:

    1. My paper ZED is for the SFO-MCO route. If the flight is full, is there any chance UA will reroute me with a stopover or even change the destination airport (i.e. FLL or MIA, within the same zone), or the itinerary is strict?
    2. If there are other non-revs from other airlines, what is the priority? Listing?

    Thanks!

20 seats is actually pretty darn close in Y. There are another 16 in F as well. Expect that to change between now and then, I'd suggest stopping by again.

    1. Stopover is absolutely out of the question. ZEDs are point-to-point, so you need a ticket for every segment you go on. No question about it. However, everything I've read on here says that destination changes are allowed, as long as you're in the same zone ("downgrades" are ok, but you lose whatever you overpaid on the ticket). MIA and FLL are a little further, but TPA might be worth considering as well. Not sure if that exists from SFO nonstop, though. Unfortunately, I don't think many agents know that ZEDs are supposed to be destination-flexible like they are. I'll try to look at our reservation system's help files when I'm at work tomorrow and see if I can find any information on it - mostly so you could tell an agent to look something up and solve an issue in 30 seconds, rather than holding up a line and/or finding out after the plane has left.

    2. We don't get too many OAL nonrevs, to be honest. However, I can tell you that Star Alliance employees fly at SA5, which is tied with United Express employees. All other OALs fly at SA8, meaning you're behind buddy passes. Beyond that, our tiebreakers are (I'm pretty sure) year of hire (probably not full date) and then time of checkin after that.

    Thanks SB.

I figured this might not be the most appropriate to keep checking loads, but since I originally posted here, I was wondering if anyone could help me with updated loads for tomorrow's (05/22) UA292 SFO-MCO.

    Thanks

Don't worry about it! We aren't super strict about where or how you post, as long as it makes some sense. I think this option is just fine.

So sorry I didn't see that earlier. Right now it's overbooked by 1, and I see you're #4 on the list. That said, there are 17 open seats on the seat map. I took a WN flight once because UA was filled to the brim, and that RJ left with 10 open seats. Or another time I took a STL-DEN flight that looked tight, but had about a dozen empty seats on a 50-seater. Just give it a try, and we'll hope for the best!

Looks like the seatmap has remained unchanged in the past hour. I think you guys will make it on, and in Economy Plus at that. Probably an exit row...
