Hi Fellow Interliners! I will be travelling to the middle east and now India frequently in 2018. I have looked at this eight ways to Sunday and I am resigning myself to buying tickets to India. There are three flights a day to New Delhi from the East coast of the US to India. Two out of EWR; one is United, and one is Air India. Air India also has a flight out of JFK. The thing is, the tickets are not inexpensive and that's coach, and Air India has an abysmal reputation for coach and business class.

Anecdotally, can anyone comment on how full these United flights usually are? How miserable are they in coach?

I can get there via LHR, but the prices are not much better and it makes the journey a lot longer.

Any and all info on these flights is much appreciated!
