I'll send up flares to a couple of our UA members, hopefully you'll get some good news.
I have to say navigating air travel, to say nothing of non-rev travel, at the present time is complicated, add in Covid precautions and the NRT website that warns of "continuing changes" and I'll just say you're in for an interesting travel experience. And believe me as one who recently journeyed through 2 1/2 airports I know whereof I speak.
All I can think of is for you to continue to check the NRT site, cross your fingers and hope for good news. However as one that recently returned from my own travel adventure, I will say - traveling/airports are stressful, pax are frustrated, gate agents are overwhelmmed and inbound flights are delayed...a lot (which in my case was fortuitous since TSA precheck was closed at LAX making for some very very long lines
