Default International Upgrades on US Airways

I work for JetBlue and have never flown non-rev on US Airways before. In a few days I'll be travelling CLT-GIG. Can anyone tell me the general 411 on upgrading to first class? Equipment is a 767.

US is very strict when to upgrading to the Envoy cabin, heck, they won't even upgrade us employees unless we have the $100 upgrade coupon in hand. To my knowledge OAL employees can't purchase the Envoy upgrade coupon, but you can always double check at a US ticket counter and see if you can purchase one. Or you can be extre nice to the agent working the flight and see if they will upgrade you. It's worth a shot.

I work with our cleaning vendors and visit the stations to make sure they are following our cleaning standards. It's quite interesting and you get to meet people from all over the operation. Have fun in Brazil! Flights to GIG usually are easy to get on ( as long as it's not carnaval or summer season), have fun in Brazil.

We don't like the idea of sending our passport to get a visa. Easier to pay when you get off the jet. Won't be going back.

Unless it's just changed, US citizens can't get VOA. Must be applied for and paid at Brasilian Embassy via mail thru agency or in person. Either way, you have to be w/out passport at one point.

    Here is current info:
