Thread: Great lodging at JNB near airport

Some connection times for non-revs at JNB can be rather lengthy if you'll be going on to/from places like Lusaka, Mauritius or Perth. After the long flight from New York, Paris or Atlana to Johanesburg, you may want to get a day's rest before continuing on.

If so, I heartily recommend the Afton Guest House located in Kempton Park, only a five-minute drive (free courtesy car) from JNB.

Louis Bekker (former SAA employee) and his family offer gracious hospitality in a safe environment. Most of their clientele are repeat
customers consisting of airline employees and American game hunters making connections to other African destinations.

Last I knew there was still a courtesy phone for the Afton at the hotel phone location at terminal two at JNB.

Be sure to let the Bekkers know you are an airline employee.
