Anyone fly ZED fares on any of the Indian airlines within their country? Looking for your good/bad experiences so we can make a decision on Jet Airways, Kingfisher, Air India or Indian Airlines.
THANKS!

I did a trip from DEL-HYD last month on Jet Airways (9W) using ZED ticket. At check-in the agent told me that he will put me on the list and will not take the bags until they call standbys. They called standbys(REV and NONREV) 10 min before the flight in NO PARTICULAR ORDER. Anouncement was "All standbys goto counter X" 15 min before flight departure. It was a zoo as 20+ people ran to the counter. Everyone got the boarding pass but it was very tense and stressful fight thru the crowds. Luggage was checked in at the same time.

This was my first time on Jet Airways using ZED. After all the hassle, I thought they were still better than Air-India. I traveled on AI before but nothing to write about the experience. The service onboard Jet Airways was FANTASTIC. I would by happy to answer any questions you may have.

I was just wondering if there are any non-revvers to India, say from the US or Europe. I zed once or twice a year to India from the US and usually connect in Europe. It's always a fun experience and sometimes quite an adventure if you happen to travel during the busy holiday seasons.

I just wanted to learn about other people's experiences and may even try to find out new ways to get to India from the US.

PS: I am glad to see that this forum is getting active. Some members have been quite helpful in getting me the load info.[/b]

At American, we can do both Jet airways and Air India. Please remember that some gate agents might not be familiar with ZED fares so be ready talk to the supervisors. Once in India, you can also get some really cheap fares on kingfisher or spice air.
