UAE’s RAK Airways expanded its route network with the launch of two new services this week. The carrier, which now operates 11 routes, has revealed ambitious plans to reach 40 destinations by 2015.
On 8/5/13 the carrier launched its first flight carrying 150 passengers from RKT to ISB. RAK Airways was founded in 2006 and launched operations in early 2007 with two Boeing 757-200 aircraft. Boeing and RAK Airways signed a 1.6 billion dirham deal for 4 Boeing 737-800, with further purchase rights, for delivery from 2011.
