    Thumbs up FA steps in for sick FO and helps land plane

    An AA flight attendant steps in for sick FO and helps land plane.

    FA Patti DeLuna hadn't piloted a plane in about 20 years until.....a 767, when the FO on her SFO/ORD flight became ill with stomach flu.
    "I was the the best available (back up pilot) they had on the plane". DeLuna said Tuesday from her California home.

    um...very interesting. F/O with the stomach flu? Made it all the way to the airport and suddenly gets sick on the airplane. So the flight attendant got a little stick time and a little publicity.
