Do you think it's relavant to the upcoming merger? To free more unprofitable routes to make it look good on paper so B6,WN and F9 can have more action?

Not really. The killing off of the JFK-Caribbean routes as well as shutting down the former SJU hub/focus city began before bankruptcy and merger talk. Granted, the Caribbean has mostly leisure routes but it's not just B6. DL now has more routes to the Caribbean out of JFK than AA.
