I'm planning to fly NRT-HKG on 10 Aug 2009. I've checked CX and their flights are really full (they are dumping HKG-NRT return for HK$2,100 ), 6 flights in a day and all are fullish or overbooked. Plus I might get bumped off since CX staff get priority over other airlines.

NH also seems to be overbooked and a 'maybe' for the morning flight.

There's a NW0029 at 1850, I'm wondering if any NW people can tell me the load as the call center girl wasn't that helpful. Also appreciate it if you could tell me if NW will take MH's IDZ tickets as i've experience UA accepting only ID90 from us and not IDZ, funny agreements.

    Thanks

    Hi YC

Had a quick look... all the CX flights still have around 10 seats in J still available, but none in Y (may also be oversold in Y).

CX505 STD1830 STA2210 has 11J & 11Y available... shows yellow on the green/yellow/red scale so it might be worth a shot.

Excellent news. Thank you sooo much.

And thanks nick but I can't fly J as don't have those tickets and not sure if they issue me one. Strange company policy

Mrs767, the NW numbers on travelnet are only the authorized tickets, not the actual seats. For this flight it wouldn't matter, but if you ever need real numbers, let me know or find an agent with access to PARS. NW oversells like nuts. Travelnet showed JFK-NRT with like 5 and 15 left, so I was all ready to go, I checked PARS and the actual numbers were like 5 and -32. So I didn't even try. I really hope DL doesn't go with NW rediculous overselling, I'm very concerned they will, which will make the gate even more fun to work.

So yea, don't trust the NW numbers on travelnet.
