I was looking at doing HAKONE too. Thing about Japan is that if you don't speak Japanese, your pretty screwed. Been there a few times, Okinawa, Nagoya, Nagasaki, Sasebo, Fukiyoka. Both while on ships and while in the airlines. I love Japan. I guess part of not understanding each other is the good part.
