This is my first experience using a friend's buddy pass.

The wife and I live in BKK, and we want to get back to the US on Dec 19 for Christmas. We were offered DL buddy passes. However, apparently we can only start them in NRT, since BKK-NRT still has a NW flight number.

I was hoping to use our UA miles to get us to NRT, but that only gives us about a 60-min. connection. Is that enough time to get the whole buddy pass thing done? Is there even a chance for checked bags? (Can UA check through if we're not on the flight yet..?)

Just wondering what I need to be preparing for.

Thx.[/b]
UA will only through check your bags if your itinerary is all on one ticket.
Two seperate tickets = 2 seperate transactions for the purpose of undercutting a through fare or combining a published/nett or combination of both.
Sorry, but employee tickets and a mix of revenue fall into the same bracket = 2 seperate tickets
