My nephew used to have a monitor lizard named Biswald ( no clue?) that beat the hell out of live mice until they were "quiet", then Bizwald had one for a meal. I watched as Biz (about 2 feet long) whipped a mouse into the glass wall of his "aquarium" until it was "tenderized" enough--about 20 times wall to wall. Since I grew up with a herpetology-obsessed brother (his snake's name was Maizie) and a biology teacher for a mom--it wasn't too weird but it was gross.
