Default Tony757 returns to the fold.....in search of hotels in Tokyo!

    Hey there!! I'm baaaaack!!

Quick update: I now have a live-in BF, along with my other roomie, and thus have very little spare time for the intarwebz. BUT...we're heading to Japan next week and I'm in search of advice of Tokyo hotels. My only experience of NRT is being stuck there when Asiana crashed.

Hope all is well with everyone!

Well I remember Tony, drives a Buick Park Ave and is obsessed with In-N-Out Burgers, but never eats them in the car -keeps the car im-mac-u-late.
As far as a hotel, a friend of a friend (yeah) recommends the Shinagawa Prince for location, but as M7 would say - check it out on TripAdvisor.

Check out the ACCOR hotels in Japan ... the Narita one can be very cheap if a bit distant to Tokyo.

So, due to the fact that there are 3 of us, and hotels with 2 double beds are almost nonexistent, we settled on an apartment.

Hell of a deal too, 550 for 4 nights wtf!! Kitchen, etc. I'll update when we return. Btw, this is Golden Week in Tokyo, no wonder I had such a hard time finding accomodations for the weekend!

For travel from Narita, local trains in Tokyo and to nearby areas e.g. Mt Fuji check out the Kanto Area pass .. it's good value if exploring the area

Decisions, decisions...the NRT flight is wide open in back, and we will likely get Biz class at least, but the Haneda flight is totally wide open, no standbys to speak of, FC is pretty much assured. The only negative: It arrives at 2245 at night. Which will mean trying to find the apt. in the wee hours of the morning.

Seniority is a good thing, when you have it!
