Hi, Liza. Welcome to Nonrev.net. Are you US citizen? If so, you have no reason to need onward tkt. Always print out your itinerary for nonrev, no matter where. Also, have your company ID. HKG is not mainland China and NRT requires no shore pass for US passport holders. If anyone else knows different, they'll let you know. Pretty savvy bunch here. Cheers!

Thank you mrs 767 for your help! I am a US citizen. The state dept web site says we need proof of onward travel for both places, but I know sometimes real world practice is different. It sounds like what you are saying is that they are not too concerned about US Citizens visiting.
Is it your experience that I wouldn't even need a non-rev return ticket to HKG? That I can just purchase a one way ticket to HKG without any proof of onward travel?
BTW, I am not the Delta employee. I am the daughter, so I don't have a company ID, but I do have a Pass Travel Pocket Card to show I am a dependent. Thank you.
