    Default Clueless About BA

Hello. Can anyone tell me the proper procedures for Non-revving on British Airways?

I work for American Airlines, and in September, I'm planning to fly from LHR to Berlin (TXL) on BA. Thanks for any info!

You must list using idtravel.ba.com or you will not be allowed to travel.
The check-in process has not changed since your post of last year ( http://nonrev.net/general-discussion...html#post55897 )

I would recommend that you contact AA's nonrev dept, as I know BA will no longer be accepting paper ZED tickets for QF staff as of May 11, as it will be going E-Ticket. I assume this will also apply at some point to all interline agreements.

Oh, okay. I didn't end up taking BA last year, so I haven't actually been through the process.
    Thanks.

Jacy, you should check out Jetnet, Travel page. There's a link toward to bottom of the screen that provides detailed information about travel on AA's oneworld partners, including BA.

I nonreved on BA about two years ago, from PHX to LHR. You have to list on the above mentioned website I believe 48 or 24 hours prior to departure. They were wonderful, flight was open so they released our seats at check in 4 + hours before departure. At LHR I believe they have a non-revenue check in desk were staff checks in. As a side note you must purchase the ZED pass before you list for your flight.

    Regards.

Sadly, BA is ending their ZED agreement with my airline. Anyone knows if this is also the case with other non one world carriers? Or hopefully just a temporary measure as airlines transition OAL ID travel from paper to e-tickets?

We've had no notification of changes to ANY of our ZED agreements and we'd normally get at least 3 months notice of any such changes. When have you been told it changes?

OK, so I re-read the bulletin on our website and it basically informs us that effective 12 May, BA will no longer accept paper tickets for non-rev travel. And with no date or time frame given for the implementation of e-ticketing, it boils down to no more non-reving on BA "until further notice". Any news if/when BA will join up with the myIDtravel programme? That's the new platform for purchasing ID tickets directly from the airlines. So far only a few carriers are on board

myIDTravel is only one of the platforms available to airlines for ID ticketing support. In general, carriers that will not or cannot support interline eTicketing are signing on to this and other platforms to facilitate ticketing by the transporting airline (instead of the employing airline). Carriers, like BA, are likely to continue to support employing carrier ticketing (at least primarily) as is the industry standard.
