I have created 2 albums, and everything seems dandy there. Now I just need to upload photos to said albums.

Every time I try to upload a photo, it takes forever and then finally I get this message "Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

The error returned was:
The image upload failed, please contact a system administrator"

I've tried with a few different images, and I've tried uploading to both my albums.

I've successfully uploaded a photo to this website for my avatar, and successfully uploaded photos to other websites.

The photos I'm trying to upload are .jpg files.

That's about it.

Any advice???

And another poor unsuspecting driver wanders into the mysterious house on the hill asking for help.

Actually I had the same problem myself. Follow these instructions to the letter, creating albums and don't worry about the smoke; it's unavoidable.

Hi,

Thanks Mig. I forgot I had written that out.

Colo,

If that does not help, tell me the file size of the photo you're trying to upload. Do you have broadband (DSL or Cable) or dial-up using a phone line? This will help me to trouble shoot.

I think the gallery is set to take and size and it automatically resizes the file on upload but I can check the settings in my control panel. Mine are uploading in seconds with no problem. Perhaps if you got a super megapixel camera that's producing very large files it's just timing out.

The photos are between 2.5 up to about 4MB. I've got DSL. The gallery is set to shrink them down if oversized. They were taking forever before giving me the error, so perhaps they timed out. I uploaded the same photos to my facebook page and it worked fine. I'll give it another go shortly.
