Is there a "Trip Reports" section in the forum? I can't seem to find one. If there isn't one, are there plans to make one? Should they just go in general discussion forum?

There isn't. I copied the old forums pretty much verbatim, then added a few.
Here's the old forums: Interline Forums: Home (Powered by Invision Power Board)
I'm not sure about creating one just yet. There's already regional forums, so it feels like there might be some overlap to me. Would be interested in people's ideas on that.
Update: I think you might be thinking of the "articles" section in the old board. You had to be logged into the site to see them. They were here: http://nonrev.invisionzone.com/forum...autocom=ibwiki
There is a way to accomodate that here, but I'd like to spend some time and get the organization right. Both the blogs and the articles sections on the old site had an initial spurt of interest, and then the activity kind of died off. I suspect that had a lot to do with the navigation and organization. So...I'd like to get it right...
A trips report section on this forum would be nice. Simple fact that a report won't get burried away under General Discussions when someone post something in general. A trips report here, well, nobody usually gives one. I see Mrs767ER gave a report which suddenly disappeared quickly under other topics, but if you had a TRIP REPORT section, it would stay there and give people more time to read about the subject. Also Spongboue send a report on Guatemala that disappeard quickly too. It doesn't give people time to respond. And think about it. You have an INTRODUCTIONS section, doesn't it make more sense to have a TRIP REPORT section here? I don't need to know someones name or what they are, but would rather read on a recent trip they made. If they wish to introduce themselves, they can do it in the trip report or go to facebook and post pictures with their introductory names. JUST MY OPINION.

Palms as you noted, we aren’t seeing a lot of trip reports, but if things pick up a “Trip Reports” Forum can be added.
As far as the “Introductions” Forum, it offers not only a place for new members to come and introduce themselves, but a place to get over first post jitters and it keeps “Hi, I’m new” from popping up in random places across the board. Besides, with no ’Introductions” Forum where would we set up the bar.

Lots of inqiries regarding non rev traveling but very few for trip reports. Good point and very true.
I think trip reports section makes subcategories by location moot. If I want to find a trip report from Palms last trip to Ougadougou, I'd look for it under Africa first.

True and as I pointed out, we aren't seeing a lot of trip reports. *wink*

Ougadougou? I'd be looking in central Australian outback for that village with an aboriginal name. Maybe look for it too at some inuit whaling village in Greenland. I don't think you'll find the 29palms in the dark continent anytime soon. It's just that I get freaked when the lights get turned off.
