Default Cold wet windy and nasty

Been raining and nothing above 42 degrees or so for the past 5 days. Rain on its way out, and going to go down to the freezing mark for the next couple of nights, but high's will make it to around 50 and sunny weather. Longest coldest stretch I've seen around these parts in 14 years in November. But I'll stop short of saying its been the coldest November since the cool weather took its time getting here. Points north got some snow squalls, but nothing accumulating, I was checking out the rain coming down today, thinking it may turn into sleet or maybe some flurries, but at around 38 degrees, it all came down as a cold rain. That would have been something, to see some snow in November in the Iah area. But warm and snug as a bug in a rug catching the football games on TV.

Dude... it was 20 degrees, a couple hours after sunset, still dinnertime, and windy last night in MSP. What did I do? I grilled hamburgers and brats for dinner. And they were delicious, I might add.

Tonight's low is calling for low of 29. And the next night about 30. Not unusual in IAH during winter but before TG it is. Right now, sunny and about 50. Feels much warmer than the overcast and rain we've had. You want to get away from cold weather, you gotta head towards MIAMI or around these parts, Brownsville, won't do it, must go to around Cancun or way down into Mexico.

mmmm.....cold night from working last night but I was ready for it, most of the work in the hanger where we closed the doors. Hit the freezing mark for sure, probably around 32 but no wind nor rain/sleet/snow. I see all week we are bouncing back to some warmer temperatures, even up to the 70's and great nights in the 50's. That's the advantage of winters along the Gulf Coast area. The cold retreats, it never lingers too long like a bad relative. Summers are a different story. That is when we pay the piper.
