UPDATE: WALLET FOUND BY FELLOW PASSENGER! PHEW!
Anybody out there from MSP? My dad just left his wallet on a DL flight. Not even a buddy pass - this was a full fare PAX. Of course the first thing anybody did was call me. Like I've got a buddy working at the gate who I can just call or something? But fair enough. Anyway, Delta counter directed him to the airport lost and found, and of course they sent him back to Delta. The flight had already reboarded and pulled back from the gate by that point (my dad was at the front ticket counter by that point, not at the gate). The DL flight should be landing in MSP in about an hour. Dad has been informed that the gate had contacted the flight crew. They took his phone number, and told him to continue on his way. Eek! Talk about drama...My parents had been on a 3wk motorhome road trip when they got a call that a family member had passed away during surgery. They quickly bought tickets back home and left the motorhome where it was at. That was several days ago. My dad has just flown back to the motorhome with my step-brother so they can drive it across the country back home. Now my dad has no wallet = no driver's license, no credit cards, etc. Step-brother has no money. Ha. So....suggestions? I'm just trying to be creative and help out my dad. Last year he left his phone on a flight back from Hawaii (again, full fare PAX) and realized it when getting his luggage. It was never found/returned, so of course he's quite worried about the wallet. I'll welcome any recommendations (and yes, apparently I'm buying my dad a fanny pack for Christmas).
