Question A question on the purchase of ZED tickets

I am a SkyWest employee. I work Delta and have a PPR# with which I can buy ZED tickets. My problem is buying an EK ZED, In Delta net the EK page say that OO employees can purchase ZEDs, it also says to book in S class. I do not see S class when I do a SDXBDEL in DeltaTRM. I've tried various dates, no S class. I tried other markets JFK-DXB DXB-BKK, DXB-CAI, still no S class shows. I can do the ZED booking with Y class but then it says error 113. It will not price out when I do 4PFNR/ZED.

I had this same thing show up last year buying a ZED DUS-CDG, it would not price any LH flights. I ended up using AF at the joint venture price but could not use that on the many LH flights. Any ideas?

when you find a solution, please share details. We're doing zeds from JNB/DXB in a few wks, so if I can help an agent do them easier, I'll print this out and take it with me. Thanks!

Ah, another SkyWest employee, hello there! I'm looking at SWOL and it says that tickets are supposed to be purchased at a DL ticket counter, so that might be your best bet. I have yet to nonrev on an OAL, so I guess I don't know the exact process for everything, but that could be a good place to start. Then again, I suppose that if you're cross-utilized for DL you should know that stuff already :P

I have the solution. Just use the long-sell method. I was using a reference-sell method. Many thanks to Aaron Hall - Dispatch HDQ. i-share works!

An example would be 0EK764S13SEPJNBDXBMM2 this would add a segment for 2 JNBDXB on Sep 13 on the 705PM flight this will book in the S class that Emirates needs. I always try to buy enough ZEDs before I leave home to get me through several different routings. Buying in foreign locations is too iffy. And refund is so easy.

Takes only a few minutes. We do it in Deltaterm. I admit it is a tedious process as you must breakdown each individual tax charge and list it separately. But it gets processed as soon as I can roust a co-worker off the breakroom couch. We can only purchase ZEDs with a credit card, the refund goes back on the same card and usually shows up in 3 business days. So maybe technically it take more than a few minutes. I look at it as my card balance jumps up for a week or two then goes back down with the refund of unused tickets. Never costs a nickle more than the tickets I actually used. I understand that if we loose the actual paper ticket it must be processed by Delta and that can take longer.

I always make a copy of my zeds before heading off into the wild blue.
BTW--do you recall the exact cost of those JNB/DXB tkts? Loads have gotten really weird again and the second flight2X/wk is gone in Sept (WAHHHH) Of course, I'm seeing a zillion HKs coming DXB/ATL now...

The Interline fare calculator on travelnet says its $108.20 JNB-DXB, miles are 3971 which is zone 5 med ZED of $66. The $42 departure tax sounds about right. 3 EK 77W a day JNB-DXB. Have you ever been on EK iron? They look really classy.

EK is a classy airline but on the several flights I have done with them, they never got the bar cart out until AFTER the meal service!!!!
Now with TG it's the other way round and it stays out......Cheers
