How have you guys made out trying to get to LIH in July?
I know it is rather silly to ask this early in advance but the family wants to go to HI for a water polo tournament in July. Is it even possible to non rev this time of year? How have you guys made out traveling with the spouse and two kids during the summers?

Sometimes you find the best places when you are lost.
I have made it to Hawaii numerous times out of PHX (LIH specifically once in Jan and once in June). Both of those times on a Saturday, flights were busy but my party of two got on. Out of PHX in the summer the nonrev list is usually long to the Hawaiian islands and flights are usually full, specially on Fri and Sat. add to that during the summer sometimes they weight restrict the flights if it is a really hot day. Wednesdays or Tuesdays are usually our quiter days out of PHX at least for US to the Hawaiian islands.
