    Spain has one fo the lowest added fee structures--my sister and her husband just did ATL/MAD/MAD/JFK/MCO for $400 each. Their original destination was BCN but until cruise season is over, I would plan for MAD as backup via JFK vs ATL, which would include Sept dates at this point. I woildn't plan for Sept until EOM or OCt. Loads have been very HIGH.. our buddies got eh LAST 2 seats w/1987 seniority. there were 24 and 30 HKs on each flight that day and worse the day after. Good news is they got the last 2 biz class flatbeds!! The JFK return to MCO is pretty convenient--4pm w/7:30 pm backup so you don't have to go thru ATL--just FYI.

    Thank you so much for your help and replies. I just knew it was way too much! We had done this before in the opposite direction BCN/JFK/MCO. It took us two days to get on but how sad can you be getting stuck in Barcelona?!! That's the longest we've ever had to wait. Anyway, the fare was nowhere near $1300. Now I just have to figure out how to tell her she's wrong . Again, a BIG Thank-you!
