Zed Medium tickets to Madrid- is business elite an option??
Hello. I just purchased zed medium tickets for me and my husband for a flight from jfk to madrid on Delta. Believe me, I would be more than thrilled if we are able to get a seat in coach but I was just wondering what Delta's policy is with regards to non revs from other airlines sitting in business elite. I know some airlines allow it while others, such as Air France, does not. Any information would be appreciated! THanks so much!
sorry--DL upgrades revs firtst then puts OALs in coach. It would be irregular. Good lcuk with Madrid--it's been very tight on loads--happy to check specific dates for you. My sister and her husband just squeaked on last 2 seats EMO June--lots of HK's and misconnects or rev pax from OALs. That was on buddy pass 24 yrs seniority. I hope you have a Plan B. Barcelona was their original destination but had to grab what they could get. Best of luck to ya! have a glass of wine for me! (it's included in coach)

Thanks so much for the quick reply and for the offer to check loads. I have one more question for you. I do have a friend who is a gate agent for delta. He would probably let me use one of his buddy passes. I would assume that buddy passes would be boarded before zed fares from oal. Is this correct? Buddies, first--potential for BE yes, but buddy passes can be $$. If he has high seniority, you could be getting BE for a bargain. Madrid is about $400 pax. Good news is that fees for Spain are lower than many otehr EU countries. ($17.00 pls taxes on mileage ticket price) If this a special dream trip and you really want BE, I'd spend the $ if you have it. You could do ATL or JFK. Stay friends and maybe you can use some for Asia--those are SWEET!!!
