Default DL Adds ATL-FAR to Support Shale Oil/Gas Demand

DL will add new nonstop seasonal service between Fargo, North Dakota and Atlanta, effective on 12/21/13 through 3/29/14. Fargo is a fast growing market due to the oil industry
The Saturday-only service between FAR and ATL will be operated by Delta Connection carrier ExpressJet utilizing a Bombardier CRJ900.

FARGO (FAR) ? That is at the wrong end of the state (east) the oil shale (Bakkan Reserve) is at the west end closest airport is WILLISTON (ISN) service from MSP by SkyWest or DEN by United. BISMARCK (BIS) would be half the distance and closer. The distance from FAR to ISN is 420 miles ! That is one hell of a miss on the dart board -OR- take rent-a-car; bus or good ole Amtrak in the wee hours of the night !

The FAR flight is seasonal and supports all aspects of the region, primarily Oil and gas business as well as industrial and commercial growth in the state.
