    If that's your way of thinking, then let everyone else go in front of you, while you remove your belt and shoes, even if not requested by security. I have no problem with that, but don't impede others' access to the scanner while you decide "does it stay or does it go now?"...

    What gets me the most is the uneducated people who having entered the PC line get to the point of placing the carry-on baggage
    on the conveyor belt and then begin to disrobe of the items that were formerly checked; laptops out and open; change keys in tray;
    belts off; shoes off and other electronics and devices out on display. Then realizing that was not the correct procedure for the PC
    line hold up everything getting things back to where they should have been. Now in the mean time someone has elected to go
    around this roadblock and the conveyor TSA has a question on whose item that is that needs to be scanned further because of
    who knows what. Thus the savvy traveler is held up because his carry-on is stuck behind that subject needing further attention
    until ownership is established and the log jam cleared.
    Some airports have the luxury of a secondary check point to weed out questionable travelers and carry-on baggage speeding the
    primary security lane.
    Really how do you get into the GE or PC lane without knowing the drill ?
    And should not all badged Airline employees and retirees with photo ID be automatically permitted to use the PC lane since they
    know the drill or at least the rudimentary function.
    Random selection of passengers is not the best idea for the PC lane.
    What is - is picking out the savvy passengers that are a quick study for using the PC lane i.e. Frequent Flyers who are not already
    on the GE or PC list !
