    Default non rev companion booking

I am a companion traveler but have never listed myself; my SO has always done this for me. We have a trip coming up and he has asked me to list myself. I have never accessed travel net, but he seems to think that I should be able to do so. I am reading that people are able to access this site...how can I get that done? our trip is in one day and it is with him...any help would be appreciated...

He technically needs to be the one to access and list you. If he chooses to train you, then it will be his responsibility for that. I don't know if you can list via phone. Not my field of expertise, sorry. Maybe someone else here will know. Other junk for nonrev--some of us have "been around" <hehe> If you're new--welcome! We are relatively harmless.

Thank you for the reply....I did call travel net, and found that you can access by phone, but after inputting the first leg the system just said " thank you for calling travelnet, goodbye"....so i did not list for the flight...so frustrating, because he really believes that I somehow can do this, and just am not paying attention...

Ouch--that last line must have hurt.
Options for listing and ticket purchase:
Travelnet online is the preferred method to book and HE will need to do that for you. I gave up on TNet phone a long time ago.
Otherwise, it's phone DL res or visit DL ticket office (do any still exist?) or at airport counter.
May I recommend a good sounding board: jetgirls.net DL pilot spouse has run it for about 10 yrs It goes dormant with other clubs but plenty of wives, GFs still peruse it. It even has a safehouse when you want to get out your inner b witch.
Good luck--hope you get a res and join him.

The best method is of course the DeltaNet - TravelNet method where you can see the flights and SB list for each leg of space
and you have the visual prompts not hanging up on you if you make an error.

The DeltaNet requires the use of the employee's 9 digit ID number and Password.
The phone in method needs that 9 digit ID number and seniority date.
The phone in number is 1-800-325-7123
Once connected you can use the alpha/digital key pad or the voice response to proceed.

Either method is - time limited - no activity and you are logged off or disconnected.
The Phone method frequently salutes you off with: "Thank you for calling travelnet, goodbye"
leaving you with an incomplete or NO listing at all.
But if a phone is the last method of known communication it is what you have to work with !
At least if you get a partial or full listing with errors make note of the 6 digit/letter record
locator - with that any agent with a delta.com computer can help you fix the listing.
It is also of great help if you download the system time table to plan your travels thus speeding
your progress by the phone-in method - and the 3 letter city code i.e. ATL LAX SFO JFK etc.
Last note it helps to be in a quiet area with an ear piece - to hear the responses - too many
repeats and you are apt to hear "Please call back (when you have your ducks in order) later
"Thank you for calling travelnet, goodbye" ! Too many errors or conflicts - does not compute
and you are disconnected. Almost human like - stop bugging me till you get your act in order !
At least it seems that way to me.

Use the phone method only if you can receive wireless signals in the Australian Outback ! LOL !

Hmmm interesting, you know RM every so often I’ll get a phone call and when I answer there is a few seconds of silence and then an automated voice says……….“goodbye”.
Any chance that DeltaNet has gone rogue?

Maybe that's the enigma dialer spongebue developed to detect your gender upon answering? Then again, hardly foolproof, as an agent once used "sir" when I spoke...head cold?

I just wish the voice response was done by that wireless telephone commercial gal "Siri" !
I understand that the TravelNet phone response is rotated between a female and male voice.
But not during the same phone call.
And it is a good thing that we don't use payphones anymore - if that were the case you may
as well buy a revenue ticket - "Please deposit $0.25 for 5 more minutes to continue"! LOL !
We aren't there yet with the lapel badge "Beam me up Scotty" so I guess it is back to the
    analog digital phone key pad.

Thank you all for your help! I ended up just calling a delta rep and listing myself for the flights... I made it there, because ultimately, it was about seeing my daughter... So I was getting there if I had to drive from NC to Colorado... We tried the phone system together... Lots of " thank you for calling Travelnet, goodbye"... But eventually were able to get it listed and to the point where you would pay... Here's where it gets even better... I got placed on hold... 22 mins, and then the gentleman on the other end of the phone line soundly reprimanded me...." You cannot pay here... You have to log in to Travelnet to pay!".... So.... I drove... I think I'll just go back to my roots... Rent a car, drive my car, walk.... It's not worth having someone believe I can do something I can't do....
